A slow five minutes before the day starts. This seven-piece set has everything for whisking matcha the traditional way: a Madake bamboo chasen with about 100 prongs (hand-cut, per Strabella), a ceramic chawan sized for a single bowl (hand-pinched, per Strabella), a bamboo chashaku scoop, a whisk holder, a sifter, a tea mat and a short how-to guide.
- Bamboo whisk with about 100 prongs; Strabella says this is the count tea masters recommend for everyday usucha
- Ceramic bowl sized for 80–100 ml of water and about 1.5 g of matcha
- Whisk holder keeps the prongs in shape between uses
- Sifter and tea mat included; tools only, matcha powder not included
- Choose a blue, pink, purple or green bowl
Hand-wash the bowl; rinse the whisk and let it dry on its holder.
